The meeting usually takes the form of an introductory talk by a group member on an artist or group of artists, including the use of video, slides or transparencies. Often the chosen artists are the subject of a major exhibition of work either in London or more locally.
We also try to visit an exhibition from time to time where transport cost are reasonable such as the galleries at Manchester, Kendal and Preston.
Members are encouraged to share their particular interest and knowledge of an artist or group and talks have ranged from the Pre Raphaelites to the Group of Seven Canadian artists and Spanish Masters.
The present venue is small, but can comfortable accommodate about 14. A small TV. Video and overhead projector is available as are coffee making facilities.
There is plenty of free parking on the nearby Hall gate Car Park.
